In this episode I talk with Liam McNamara, a Plant Design Specialist who worked with me last year when he left his job as a social media manager for a local cafe. At that time Liam knew he wanted to be doing work that he was more interested in and has some ideas of what he might want to do, but wasn't quite sure what to do next.
Fast forward to now and Liam is running his own plant design business! Plants evolved as a passion of Liam’s when he moved down to Florida in 2018 and was exposed to so many of the different tropical plants that thrive in that environment year round. I really have not met anyone else who loves and knows as much about potted plants for your in home design.
Liam shared the importance of being able to talk through your initial work ideas with a coach and how that helped him realize the work he ultimately wanted to do. After working together with the 3 month coaching program, Liam was able to bring his idea of doing a plant business to life. Liam also learned about his natural strengths, one of the foundational practices of positive psychology, and how to best use them in his daily business tasks.
